Trash to treasure

I love to see what I can find laying around or that people have laying out to give away and see what I can do with it! When I was younger I would die of embarrassment when my mom would do it but now I see why she did! One of our neighbors cleaned out her shed and had a bunch of old stuff out for free and I grabbed this crate, wasn't sure what I was going to do with it but knew I'd find something. I've had it for about a year and finally the idea hit me today so I got out the nails and a hammer and there it is! Super cute !!

Bunny door hanger

This is just how talented my husband is! I found a similar item online showed him a picture once and he created this! I knew there was a reason I kept him hanging around :)

To make this:
1. Grab a piece of plywood and draw your bunny however large you would like it to be
2. Cut out with a jigsaw( that's what he used)
3. Cut a small circle for the nose and long skinny circles for the ears, 2 small skinny circles for the eyes and then nail in place
The colors we used were buttermilk and cotton candy pink the. We drew a line and circle for the mouth

DIY bunting and blocks

Ive had a long day of re evaluating our routine and discipline tactics due to a few issues my son has been having of an evening so I only had enough time to share my shelf decor for spring and Easter,I used the same blocks I used for my lucky sign for st patty's day, some scrapbook paper and twine to make my own bunting and hung with Christmas ornament hooks, i still have my Easter eggs and rabbit to add but I've still got time for that!

DIY Easter picks

The weather here was in the upper 60's all week long and was really feeling like spring time and got me in the mood to decorate for Easter.. My first project were these DIY Easter picks. All I used were Easter cookie cutters to trace the eggs and bunnies, some scrapbook paper, sticks, hot glue and twine. It took me all of about 15 minutes and I think they turned out quite cute :) and now that I've been in the mood for spring and decorating it has decided to start snowing- welcome to Illinois weather!
